The European Way of Life

in the Southside Hemisphere

Uruguay welcomes everyone who is looking for new opportunities.

 Area
176,215 km²

 GDP (nom. 2024)
US$ 81 billion

 Population (2023)
3.44 million

Half the size of Germany.
And fewer people than Berlin.

Uruguay covers about 176,000 km² and has only about 3.44 million inhabitants. The low population density creates plenty of space, large plots of land, and plenty of opportunities for individual development.

At the same time, the country offers a high quality of life and the choice between living on the coast, with miles of beach, and in the gentle hills of the interior.

Nature and animal lovers will also find ideal conditions here. Additionally, Uruguay is known for its sustainable agriculture.

"The Switzerland of South America"

Uruguay is considered the "Switzerland of South America" and is one of the most stable countries in the Americas. According to the World Bank, the country has one of the strongest democracies in the region, while Uruguay consistently ranks as the least corrupt country in Latin America in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index.

The country is characterized by political, economic, and social stability. Both the public and private healthcare systems are considered top-notch, and the education level is high. In addition to Spanish-speaking schools, there are also bilingual and international schools.

Work to live  –  don't live to work!

IIn Uruguay, life moves at a different pace.
Uruguay isn't cheap, and you still have to work.

The difference lies in the rhythm of life: You have time to breathe, for family and friends, for good food, a mate at sunset on the beach, or a spontaneous evening with music and dance.

In addition, there is a safe and pleasant living environment: the crime rate is comparatively low and social trust is high. The country is open and tolerant towards different political views, religions, and ways of life.
