How much does it really cost to live in Uruguay? At our next Uruguay Stammtisch, we’ll talk about rent, groceries, utilities, transportation, and other everyday expenses that actually matter. As always, there will also be time for questions and personal exchange.
In short: Our next free Uruguay Online Roundtable will take place on
Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Uruguay / 3:00 PM in Germany. This time, we’ll focus on what everyday life in Uruguay actually costs.
Please note: This online roundtable will be held exclusively in German.
What does it cost to live in Uruguay?
At our next free online Meeting, we’ll talk about rent, groceries, electricity and utilities, transportation, insurance, and other everyday expenses. The question “How high are the cost of living in Uruguay really?” is one of the most common topics before moving abroad. There is no single answer that fits everyone, because actual expenses depend heavily on where and how you live — whether in Montevideo, Punta del Este, or in the interior, and whether you rent or own your home.
We’ll discuss which costs actually arise in everyday life and what may be different in Uruguay compared with Germany or other European countries.
